Dog Owners of the Granite State (D.O.G.S.) will hold its Annual Meeting on Saturday January 8 from 1 – 2:30pm at The West Street Ward House, 41 West St in Concord.  This is on the corner of West and Badger St. Anyone interested in animal legislation is welcome to attend as well as members of dog and cat clubs.  Please distribute to your club members and anyone you think may have an interest in attending.

This is your chance to meet our new Board Members, find out about our two web sites, and learn what you can do to help.  We’ll have a quick recap of last year’s legislation and tell you about this year’s proposed legislation.  You will learn how to write a rep and what language to use.  What you can do to help, personal touch, how to find your reps, approach and get to know them.  What you can expect when attending a hearing.  A handout will be available on how to navigate the state website, find your legislator and look up bills.

Questions will be welcomed throughout the meeting.  Light refreshments, water and coffee will be available.

The past couple of years we have seen fabulous growth for DOGS.  We hope this will be another good year for sensible legislation.  Your continued support is what makes NH great for pets and their owners. We look forward to seeing you at the meeting as well as working with and for you during the 2011 legislative session.

Click here to RSVP.  Not necessary but it will be helpful for us to have a head count.  Thanks!
